CA-Jones is seeking a Steel Fitter Department Foreman for a contract opening in Sturgeon Bay, WI.

REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma.
Strong communication and accountability.
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams.
Willingness to complete ASNT NDT Level II Certification.


RESPONSIBILITIES
The Steel Fitter Foreman oversees and coordinates all steel department activities and provides leadership, direction, and accountability to support over 1,000 employees in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and direct new construction and repair projects.
Train, mentor, and evaluate employees.
Manage scheduling, timekeeping, and performance reviews.
Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company policies.
Collaborate with purchasing to secure parts and materials.
Monitor progress, resolve issues, and manage budgets.
Promote a positive and professional workplace.
Supervisory Scope
Directly manage 10-20 employees.
Hire, train, and develop staff.
Provide guidance, feedback, and accountability.
Core Competencies
Effective communication and teamwork.
Strong leadership and mentoring.
Process improvement and accountability.


DESIRED
Shipyard experience.
3+ years in management and/or steel fitting.
Quality control and inspection background.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and time-tracking systems.
Journeyman or equivalent certification.
Knowledge of ABS, USCG, NEC, IEEE 45 standards.
