Position Summary
The Welding Instructor & Recruiter is responsible for providing high-quality instruction in welding processes and safety while also recruiting and assessing candidates to meet workforce demands. This position ensures a consistent pipeline of skilled welders by combining technical training with proactive talent acquisition strategies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Instruction
Deliver classroom and hands-on training in MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding processes.
Instruct on blueprint reading, welding safety, and equipment operation.
Evaluate trainee progress through testing, demonstrations, and performance assessments.
Maintain welding lab/shop in compliance with safety standards and company policies.
Recruitment
Identify, recruit, and screen welding candidates for client and company projects.
Conduct welding skills assessments and pre-employment testing.
Build and maintain relationships with schools, workforce boards, and community organizations.
Support workforce development initiatives by promoting welding as a career path.
Administration
Maintain training and recruitment records, certifications, and compliance documentation.
Track and report outcomes for both training effectiveness and recruitment metrics.
Collaborate with operations, safety, and HR teams to align training and hiring needs.

Qualifications
Minimum 3-5 years of professional welding experience required.
Prior experience as an instructor, trainer, or supervisor preferred.
Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and OSHA/industry safety requirements.
Recruiting or candidate evaluation experience strongly preferred.
AWS certification or equivalent credentials desirable.
High school diploma or GED required; technical/trade school degree preferred.
