Job Description:
Prepares, develops and coordinates the integrated master plan and integrated master schedule to meet all program objectives. Ensures major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing and qulaity. Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts. Utilizes Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas.
Basic Qualifications:
Apprentice School graduate, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 6 years of shipbuilding, related military, manufacturing, or production operations experience OR 6 years experience as the Prod Plng and Scheduler; OR 6 years of testing/production management experience (e.g. Foreman) OR 13 years experience in manufacturing, production operations or related military service (inclusive of 4 years supervisory/leadership experience or Planning/Production Control/Naval systems specialized training experience) and possess a well-founded knowledge of production operations, production processes, ship systems, and planning methods and schedules and/or plant maintenance activities. A combination of education and related experience can be used in lieu of degree.
Candidate should have some or all the following as well as the base job requirements in job decriptions:
1.Experience using scheduling software (preferabley Primavera).
2.A working knowledge of Critical Path Mangement (CPM)
3.An understanding of Shipbuilding or construction sequencing
4.An understanding of resourcing loading in a scheduling environment
5.Understand IMP/IMS development and maintenance
6.Understanding of Critical Path Analysis
